The Role:
Under the direction of the Operations manager, the Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business functions to define specifications, requirements for automating and, improving business processes.  The individual in this role will collect and collate data into a SLA (Service Level Agreement) format for clients. 
 
The Business Analyst will interact with various departments and managers, as well as other BNY Mellon internal units on regulatory and compliance matters. He or she will work with other senior level individuals to resolve issues and must have excellent communication skills. This position requires an individual who is both self-motivated and detail oriented; a strong communicator who is comfortable interfacing across multiple departments and with individuals at various levels of the organization.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Create and/or implement complex reporting solutions
  • Maintain a dynamic and comprehensive resource capacity model that ensures compliance with established service level agreements and partner expectations
  • Define business processes, best practices and standardization of reporting and analysis for the organization
  • Assist in the process of due diligence and regulatory filings
  • Assist in client reporting and audits


Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and familiarity with Microsoft Access
  • At least 2 of professional experience in financial services industry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory reporting
