Golden Capital Management is an investment advisory firm that offers domestic and international equity portfolios to individual investors and institutions of all sizes. The firm is based in Charlotte, NC. To accommodate the investment requirements of a diverse client base, we offer a variety of investment strategies. Our strategy lineup includes focused, enhanced index and conventional index portfolios. Our advantage is rooted in proprietary stock selection models. The models combine the thoroughness of a fundamental approach to research with the consistency accomplished through quantitative execution. We utilize the models to identify stocks that we believe are likely to outperform their peers.

The Golden Capital Management Investment team is seeking an entry-level quantitative systems analyst to help develop, maintain and support the quantitative research infrastructure utilized by the investment team for making investment decisions. This individual would specifically work on:

• Data development and management

• • Onboard new data sources

• Automate processes for data acquisition

• • Acquire data from non-traditional sources

• Developing utilities for extracting and combining data from disparate sources

• Automate data analysis, data integrity and data quality checks

• Interact with data providers to resolve issues in a timely manner

• Assist in development and maintenance of proprietary investment research and portfolio management platform including; alpha factor research, multi-factor model development, and tools utilized in investment decision-making.

• Report Generation

• Data verification and data integrity reports

• Reports for the analysis of cross-sectional and time-series data

• Reports for monitoring research and production processes
Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 2+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Candidate should have a strong technical background with experience in some of the following languages (C#, Java, SQL, R, SAS, Python, Perl).
  • Candidate should also be detail oriented, thorough and independent.
  • Candidate should have 0-5 years of experience.
