Audio Visual Lead

This role, reporting in to Macquarie's Workplace Technology team, will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Audio Visual service delivery across the Sydney campus, managing a combination of full time and contractor / vendor staff. Role will also be responsible for overseeing all AV operations globally (from Sydney) to ensure the highest level of professional AV/VVC service delivery, consistency and scalability across all offices.

Responsibilities include;
  • key accountability and operational oversight across all existing meeting room technology Macquarie-wide
  • primary interaction point between MGL businesses, Technology and Guest Relations for all Collaborative technologies in meeting rooms and event spaces.
  • working direct with key businesses and stakeholders, reviewing and providing technical oversight and management of VIP and large events across the campus. Providing leadership and governance to remote teams for all events globally.
  • work with AV support vendors globally, ensuring consistent service delivery and standardised processes, assisting with ongoing vendor management
  • management of the vendor delivered AV On Site Support teams (OSS) in Sydney, New York and London
  • ensure the team manages all AV / VC / Technical requirements for both internal and client meetings including video conferencing, audio conferencing, Crestron integrated rooms / complex auditoriums and WebEx
  • ensure the team proactively monitors and conducts daily tests of all collaborative technologies in meeting rooms to ensure high availability of systems
  • manage and develop contingencies for all AV systems. Responsible for maintaining documented processes and updated how-to guides.
  • understand and comply with all Tech Assist support procedures and standards including Change and Incident Management
  • identify and recommend AV room upgrades when necessary
  • establish and maintain effective daily communication channels with the Workplace Technology team to ensure that all client requirements are communicated and actioned
  • high volume of communication with Macquarie business (EA's and meeting/event bookers) to coordinate all client AV requirements including but not limited to AC, VC, WebEx, presentation, lighting and sound equipment
  • responsibility to empower team to develop skills an expertise in all associated meeting room, broadcast and presentation technologies that Macquarie currently deploys.

Skills Knowledge & Experience

  • delegation skills - able to prioritise accordingly and flexible in handling a variety of tasks
  • complaint handling - able to resolve problems as they arise in an appropriate manner
  • leadership and management skills - previous experience managing staff and developing careers is key
  • deep understanding of Meeting room technologies - Conference Room Audio Visual systems, audio conferencing, Cisco Video Conferencing and WebEx
  • strong organisational and time management skills
  • high level of attention to detail
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent personal presentation, confidence working with senior executives
  • some understanding of technology infrastructure (networks, servers, etc)
  • people Management
  • monitor direct reports and set objectives ensuring they are being met and achieved. Develop KPIs for each team member
  • conduct regular performance reviews
  • responsible for recruitment and staffing levels

Qualifications
  • minimum of 4 years Audio Visual experience in a premium corporate or five-star hotel environment and working closely with a technology team
  • proven leadership and management skills
  • administrative skills - word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (Microsoft Office / Office 365)
  • relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
