Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly self-motivated front-line support analyst to join our Global Trading Research Operations Team based in Hong Kong. The successful applicant can expect to find themselves at the leading edge of the equity algorithmic trading space and will be in a position to acquire in-depth knowledge of cash equities algorithmic trading strategies and the equity trading process in Asia as a whole.



  • Monitoring the platform and taking proactive action to provide a very high level of support service
  • Being the primary contact for front-office covering traders in handling queries of both a technical and a strategy-specific nature
  • Provide support/trouble shooting on Instinet Analytics – our Real-time monitoring and Transaction Cost Analysis systems
  • Managing and tracking of daily production problems ensuring timely resolution and effective communication to clients
  • Liaise with developers, team members in other regions and senior management regarding product developments and issue escalation/tracking



  • 3 years of solid experience of working in a front-office environment
  • Very strong communication skills with fluency in English
  • Excellent prioritization, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good client management and interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated with a collaborative approach
  • Practical experience in UNIX and Scripting
  • Experience with bug-tracking or issue tracking software or process
  • Knowledge of Asian/Global equity market structures
  • Business knowledge of cash equities and equity trading
  • Knowledge of execution-focused algorithmic trading strategies
  • Some theoretical and practical experience of the QA process
