An opportunity for an experienced candidate to join a large global Infrastructure Investment company, working on both debt and equity investments across a wide variety of sectors.
With a wealth of experience at its disposal, this firm has established itself as one of the leading Investment managers across the infrastructure space, offering their services in both an investment and advisory capacity. Using a long-term and responsible investment policy, investing in assets with structured and foreseeable cash flows, the firm has grown to the point of holding several billions of dollars’ worth of funds in their expansive portfolio, reaching across the full scope of the Infrastructure industry on an international scale.
You will be fitting into a team of professionals with strong backgrounds in a variety of financial sectors, joining the firm’s modest-sized office in London. In being trusted with this role, you will work both alongside and in a self-sufficient capacity to contribute to making quality and rational investments, continuing the firm’s highly valued reputation.
The Investment Associate position offers considerable potential for rapid promotion, with opportunity for higher initial responsibility, depending on your level of experience. Your key responsibilities, all in line with the firm’s philosophy of responsible investing, include:
- A primary focus on equity investments, mainly concentrating on Power, Utilities and Infrastructure
- Periodically contributing to investments on the debt side
- Overseeing the full investment process, from origination to execution
- Carrying out a role with elements of asset management
- Carrying out investments in Europe with a view to looking towards Emerging Markets
- Ensuring you and your colleagues adhere to strict financial regulations, conducting both yourself and your work in a highly ethical manner
The appropriate candidate will have 4-6 years of experience working in the PUI industry. They will have a background ideally working either on Project Finance transaction with a bank, M&A, or have a good track record of making pan-European debt or equity Greenfield/Brownfield investments. Given the firm’s global reach, the candidate will ideally be fluent in a European language, namely Nordic, Italian, Spanish or German. A meticulous level of attention to detail is essential, as is a strong work ethic and sustained adherence to the values of the firm, in addition to a high level of interest in the infrastructure sector.
