A unique opportunity to join a fantastic yet niche Private Equity player as they seek to build out their finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working in finance within Private Equity to work with a forward-thinking and highly impressive CFO.

The individual will be a key member of the Finance team and will have primary responsibility over managing the accounting and operations for the regulated advisory entity and its books and records. This individual will also be involved in various projects, new systems being implemented and help to create a ‘best-in-class’ finance department. Overall, this is a rare opportunity to participate and engage in an exciting phase in the firm’s growth.   
 
It is critical that the individual is able to work with minimal supervision and has a ‘can-do’ attitude. The role requires excellent inter-personal skills in liaising with investment teams, senior leadership, portfolio company teams, fund administration teams and a variety of advisors. This position will report to the CFO and will have a dotted line to the Head of Fund Administration  
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
• Overall responsibility over the books and records of the advisory entity, maintaining all internal controls and finance processes

• Planning for insourcing the LLP accounting process in due course that is currently outsourced

• Responsibility over all statutory and regulatory filings and requirements – FCA returns, Tax returns, VAT returns, oversee all partnership matters as they relate to the accounting

• Responsibility over the annual financials and audit of the advisor entity

• Enhance the management reporting and the budgeting processes, oversight overall cost management, oversight of management fee calculations

• LLP members’ monthly drawings and tax reconciliations  

• Oversight over payroll and compensation and answering tax questions on the same

• Transfer pricing review of the LLP and keeping up-to-date on partner tax issues

• Assist the operational team on new system implementation projects  

• Assist the CFO with special projects and other strategic initiatives

• Manage day-to-day compliance needs of the business  
 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE 

• Qualified chartered accountant / ACCA  

• Significant private equity finance or transactional experience, possibly previous professional services experience

• Proven track record of working within a high performing finance function and the ability to apply an investor and operator mindset simultaneously

• Advanced systems and excel skills (Sage 50, Concur will be advantageous)
