Program Coordinator - Fixed Term Contract

Program Coordination
  • Primary responsibility for employee programs in region, including logistics for volunteer and special events with partners. Tasks include event planning, execution, and measuring impact for each event.
  • Assist with grant administration including but not limited to relationship management, reviewing corporate memberships, proposals and evaluations for completion, attending and contributing to site visit reports, formatting reports and sending proposals, grant agreement and evaluation requests.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new, strategic programs aligned with The Moody's Foundation mission.
  • Liaise with regional TMF staff and the Corporate Social Responsibility Council in regional offices.
  • Distribute t-shirts and other such items, as needed.
  • Distribute and track cultural membership vouchers/cards.

  • Provide day-to-day management of program budgets, which includes tracking, liaising with accounting/Treasury, and coordinating payments to non-profits and the Corporate Social Responsibility Council and providing status updates to management, as requested.
  • Collect and analyze survey data gathered after events
  • Maintaining databases for grant and volunteer programs
  • Compose communications and social media assets
  • Respond to routine-and non-routine inquiries from employees and external agencies including Matching Gifts, Give As You Earn and Dollars for Doers inquiries
  • General administrative duties including: research, drafting and scheduling communications, processing invoices and expense reports, maintaining t-shirt inventory, uploading photos and documents, shipping items and calendar/contact update.

The Moody's Foundation is funded by an annual distribution from Moody's Corporation. The board members are the Presidents of Moody's Investors Service and Moody's Analytics, General Counsel, Chief Human Resource Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Vice Chairman, Moody's Investors Service . The Officers of the Moody's Foundation consist of representatives from the Tax, Legal, Finance and Business Planning departments. The Corporate Secretary for Moody's Corporation serves as Secretary of the Moody's Foundation board. The officers assist the Moody's Foundation President by preparing materials such as budgets and projections, internal audit and tax returns.

The Moody's Foundation has an annual budget of approximately $5.0 million (including approximately $4.0 million in grants to unaffiliated not-for-profit entities) and the employee engagement functions have an additional $225,000 budget.

Other than making grants to non-profit organizations, the Moody's Foundation manages employee engagement programs. Every Moody's employee has the opportunity to serve the community through volunteerism, employee-directed giving, and/or board service.

Since inception, The Moody's Foundation has awarded over $50 million in grants. The Foundation has been honored with the CECP Excellence in Philanthropy Award for its Moody's Mega Math Challenge, a national applied mathematics competition. Moody's is regularly cited for outstanding employee participation rates in its community service program mostly recently its 2016 NYC Mayoral Service Recognition. Many of oursenior leaders serve on non-profit boards in the community underscoring the company's encouragement to its business leaders to also be leaders in the community.


  • BA/BS required
  • Relevant experience in corporate social responsibility, event management, or at a non-profit organization a plus
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to take initiative, ability to work under time constraints with a sense of urgency and handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities simultaneously are essential
  • Must have demonstrated skills in handling a wide variety of project management and administrative projects.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency in all Microsoft components (Word, Excel, Power Point required)
  • Experience in working independently and as part of a team, remote experience a plus
  • Must be reliable and able to manage information in confidence and with discretion
