Project Manager - 15 Month FTC

The Opportunity:

As a Project Manager within IT Operations, you will be responsible for delivery of one or more projects within the Technology field.

The successful candidate will display strong Project Management skills and be easily able to transcend deliveries focused on Technology, Operations and Front Office. Being familiar with operating in a P&L function or target driven environment would be similarly advantageous.

The individual should be a self-starter, with strong lateral thought, good analytical skills, curiosity and meticulous attention to detail and accurate high quality output.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • To manage projects from approval through to implementation
  • To motivate a multi-disciplined team of people (Internal and/or External) to towards meeting expected delivery deadlines
  • To closely manage Risks, Issues, Assumptions, Decisions, Change and Budget
  • To initiate and execute change in accordance with Group Operations Governance processes and controls
  • To maintain structured reporting and consultation with the Project Sponsors, Project Board and other key stakeholders, updating them as appropriate with progress, costs risks and issues
  • Manage and/or attend relevant Boards and forums to represent projects and drive the necessary decisions/escalations

What we are looking for:

You will have a good knowledge of the wider investment industry and demonstrable project management experience. You will be familiar with and have had experience using Structured Project Manager methods and will be comfortable using MS Project for project planning and management. A good understanding for Front, Middle and Back Office processes in an Asset Management company is important, as well as strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to manage external Vendors in a project delivery context. You will have experience of the full project development lifecycle and will be capable of managing virtual project teams.
