Purpose of Role:

State Street Global Exchange, a Data & Analytics focused business division with State Street is seeking a highly qualified Pre-Sales Engineer/Analyst to assume a driving role in the DataGX Business Development Team based in London. DataGX is our strategic data aggregation and management platform that forms the center of our investment management solutions eco-system. The selected individual would have responsibility for driving client demonstrations, presentations; Proof of Concept exercises, RFP responses and model office development and maintenance

Major responsibilities:           



  • Using a solutions-oriented approach, work with EMEA sales team and assist in ascertaining client’s and prospect’s needs and design targeted solutions to meet those needs 


  • Ability to quickly map client’s needs to DataGX capabilities and bring gaps and new ideas back to DataGX team


  • Perform product demonstrations and have a good level of technical expertise in the field of Data.


  • Develop In depth knowledge of operational & enterprise control framework and the ability to explain it to business users


  • Effectively transfer knowledge and information acquired during deal phase to DataGX implementation team


  • Proactively solicit client and prospect feedback regarding new product initiatives and future product development; provide feedback to business development, research and product development teams


  • Represent State Street at industry events and conferences


  • Contribute to pipeline and management reporting and maintain timely call/meeting notes in Salesforce



 



Level of Education:



  • Masters (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or Accounting


  • Experience supporting one or more front office activity related data platform. .i.e. trading, compliance, performance & attribution, risk etc.


  • Clear understanding of different investment data components and their interaction. Security master, transactions, positions, analytics, performance, attribution, risk etc.


  • Working knowledge of common data vendor’s .i.e. Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, IDC, SIX etc.


  • Prior experience with State Street and Enterprise Service Platform (ESP )is an advantage
