As a subject matter expert, will provide training, guidance and encouragement to less experienced bankers/MLOs in a designated region of branches. Following established policies and department procedures, responsible for loan production and processing to support fee income growth and provide the highest level of expertise and customer service. To be able to work with branches and customers and provide excellent customer service. Assess mortgage needs of customer and provide various beneficial Cathay Bank mortgage products. Primarily responsible for supporting the SCA Region 2 branches whenever a need for a mortgage loan is required.
The incumbent has no direct report.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Education: Associates Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years mortgage lending and banking experience with good knowledge of lending regulations and loan processing in a multi-state lending environment.
Skills/Ability: Organized and detail oriented. Able to develop working knowledge of Banks credit policies and approval process for assigned loans. Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high production environment. Strong organizing and problem-solving skills; strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to adapt well to a fast paced and constantly changing business environment; PC proficient at the intermediate level; demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrated ability to provide good customer service; Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) preferred..
