The Challenge:

Warnings about Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them to seem overwhelming to Cloud Service Providers. In all of this Cyber noise, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you build your knowledge as a Cyber risk specialist who can help break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As a Cyber compliance and risk management consultant on our team, youll assist Cloud Service Providers with discovering their Cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. Youll gather technical, environmental, and personnel details from SMEs to help with the assessment of the entire threat landscape. Youll learn how to guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones and help to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their Cloud Systems. This is your opportunity to build experience in a strategic Cybersecurity role while developing skills in Assessment and Authorization and Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for cloud systems. Provide recommendations regarding remediation and mitigation of identified vulnerabilities by developing test reports and plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms). Support projects through RMF Steps 0-3 with a pre-assessment team and RMF Step 4 Security Assessment, as needed. Ensure program documents sections for System Security Plans (SSPs) and meet checkpoints for the security assessment. Review the Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) scans for compliance and identification of vulnerabilities. Develop artifacts in preparation of Authority to Operate (ATO) package.
