Position Title: Paralegal, Cetera Financial Group

What we need:

Cetera Financial Group iscurrently seeking a Paralegal for our companys office located in Los Angeles,CA.  This is a unique opportunity to joina legal team of highly experienced lawyers who have corporate, litigation,broker-dealer and investment advisory practices.  This position will support attorneysadvising the retail investment advisory, asset management and retirementbusinesses. What you will do:
 

• Supportslitigation attorneys and senior paralegal in all facets of litigation.
• Organizeand maintain litigation files.
• Workwith insurance carriers and finance department on billing and maintaining legalreserves.
• Reviewand process vendor bills including using electronic billing system.
• Organizedocuments and coordinate document productions.
• Conductvarious document searches and factual research.
• Draftvarious legal memos including litigation hold memos.
• Preparewitness and matter materials for case preparation.
• Actas liaison among various internal departments and outside counsel.
• Provideadministrative support to litigation attorneys including calendar and travelmanagement.
• Otherduties as assigned.

What you need to have: 

• Advancedknowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel(spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc.) and  Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Serengeti is aplus.
• Must beextremely organized to manage multiple files, calendars, meetings, travelitineraries and other projects as necessary.
• Strongorganizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability tohandle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Stronginterpersonal, communication and writing skills.
• Team-orientedmindset and strong work ethic.
• Soundjudgment and problem solving abilities.
• Ability toanalyze complex information requests.
• Bachelors degreepreferred

• Paralegal Certification is a plus.
• Prior insurance experience is a plus.
• Recommended 2 years of experience in a law firm or in-houselegal department.
