Scope and Responsibilities

Based on the West Coast (San Francisco, LA or San Diego), the Credit Analyst will work within the Strategic Credit team and be focused on life sciences investments. The Analyst will participate in all transaction functions and portfolio investment activities. Responsibilities include:

o Provide detailed bottoms-up financial modeling, analysis, forecasts and valuations;

o Be responsible for credits within their own sector coverage;

o Generate fundamental and relative value investment recommendations to the portfolio managers;

o Maintain and update written research for existing investments.

o Source new investment opportunities in life sciences;

o Develop and maintain business and industry due diligence; and

o Monitor the performance of existing portfolio investments.

Experience Required

o 7-8 years experience in the Life Sciences industry or Healthcare investing

o Experience in conducting investment research

o Experience sourcing deals independently and negotiating with management teams

o Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills

o Demonstrated competency in financial statement analysis, business valuation, accounting and finance

o Strong science background

Education

Master (s) degree or higher in science (preferably wit biology/ biotechnology concentration) from a top university
