Job Description

Product Manager, Pondera Solutions

As a Product Manager for Thomson Reuters (TR), you will play a role in product life cycle management of products offered by Pondera Solutions, recently acquired by TR. Pondera Solutions leverage advanced analytics, AI, and human intelligence to help government and commercial healthcare programs maintain compliance and detect fraud, waste, and abuse. Pondera’s core detection system, FraudCaster, helps clients detect and prevent hundreds of millions of dollars in improper payments in health plans and government programs. Pondera also offers DataResolver to improve data quality enhancing fraud detection and CaseTracker to help manage, collaborate, and close investigations more efficiently. The Product Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of these products as well as drive the development of new features and new products in order to help achieve strategic goals of the business including sales, revenue, market adoption, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, responsibilities may include limited budgetary accountability.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Product Manager, Pondera Solutions, you will:

  • Contribute to creation of product strategy.
  • Take ownership of product design, roadmap, business requirements, feature and functionality tradeoffs and release schedule for Pondera Solutions products
  • Partner with sales / marketing to develop marketing strategy and product launch activities
  • Direct and influence cross-functional teams in order to ensure dependencies for proposition, product or service delivery are met
  • Gather and prioritize client feedback and understand client needs in order to drive innovation and increase client adoption and retention
  • Develop comprehensive product definitions, concept proposals and business cases which result in marketable products and services
  • Involve in budgeting activities, development of 3rd party partnerships, etc.
  • Support commercial facing teams in client engagement and retention activities
  • Review current products to ensure that quality and currency are being maintained
  • Participate in revenue planning and pricing decisions for new products
  • The role may have ability to work with external clients, product uses, External Vendors, Product management team, Pondera business leaders, segment leaders, Technical and engineering staff, sales and marketing along with customer support

About You:

  • Must have 5+ years of product lifecycle management with emphasis on agile, customer centric design process and successful outcomes
  • Ability to understand and interpret fundamental workings and trends within a target industry
  • Ability to understand and apply technology to product development
  • Proficiency in product commercialization and marketing
  • Ability to drive a direct and indirect team to execute product strategy
  • Superior client engagement skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills including the ability to influence internal and external audiences
  • Superior written skills, including experience writing comprehensive business and functional requirements
  • Strong analytical and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Demonstrated experience in SaaS product management including significant involvement in product definition and launch management
  • Ability to establish and manage 3rd party relationships including suppliers and collaborative partnerships
  • Industry experience preferred related to data analytics, fraud prevention, healthcare, and government agencies and programs
  • Collaborating across boundaries
  • Focusing on customers, inspiring others, championing innovation, driving results
  • University degree required, advanced degree may be preferred dependent upon business
