The Market Data Administrator will be responsible for administering all aspects of TCW’s Market Data Service accounts including account administration, new service provisioning, usage tracking and reporting, planning and coordinating renewals, and reconciling vendor invoices for approval and payment. This includes maintaining the Market Data Service databases, monitoring employee role changes, tracking soft dollar payments in internal and external systems, updating budget records, and maintaining Vendor contact records and other files. The incumbent will perform daily administrative tasks relating to any Market Data request, including contract maintenance.

Overview:

The Market Data Administrator will be responsible for administering all aspects of TCW’s Market Data Service accounts including account administration, new service provisioning, usage tracking and reporting, planning and coordinating renewals, and reconciling vendor invoices for approval and payment.  This includes maintaining the Market Data Service databases, monitoring employee role changes, tracking soft dollar payments in internal and external systems, updating budget records, and maintaining Vendor contact records and other files.  The incumbent will perform daily administrative tasks relating to any Market Data request, including contract maintenance.

This role is located within the Market Data Services team and Sourcing & Procurement Team. The Market Data Services team is responsible for ensuring that the investment staff has access to third party Market Data services (e.g., Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet, etc.) as required for research and trading. The incumbent will work closely with a range of investment professionals (entry-level to Managing Director) as well as IT analysts, vendors, and internal operations staff. This role will provide administrative support and act as the primary backup for the Manager of TCW Market Data Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all Market Data databases.
  • Process adds/deletes/transfers and coordinate with vendors.
  • Reconcile vendor invoices; make chargeback cost allocations for all hard and soft dollar services.
  • Set up contract renewal alerts.
  • Maintain Vendor Contact database.
  • Track all third party exchanges and direct reporting with exchange agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment with at least two years of experience handling tasks in operations, accounts receivable (A/R), or accounts payable (A/P) areas
  • Solid communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Possesses strong work ethic and professional demeanor; self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • A problem solver and uses good judgment when working through issues and situations
  • Solid proficiency with MS Word, MS Access and MS Excel. Experience in a high volume/fast-paced and changing environment is required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Some exposure to Market Data (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Thomson Reuters etc.) would be helpful but not required
