The Client Service Coordinator provides support to the client by conducting specific service activities (generally in assurance and tax) and direct client support. They support the services team leaders (generally in assurance and tax) in managing the business functions and growth through marketing activities.

As a Client Service Coordinator within our Internal Operations Team, you will perform the following:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Friendly, helpful, and responsive to clients when they call or are in the office
  • Thrives working in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, and enjoys the challenge of identifying and finding solutions
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Manages the front desk by answering phone calls, sorting mail, creating shipping labels, charging shipping costs to clients
  • Assemble and deliver financial statements
  • Perform cash, AR, and other confirmations with the assurance teams
  • Prepare engagement agreements
  • Prepare and e-mail/mail tax organizers
  • Organize and scan client documents
  • Assemble final tax returns and prepare extensions
  • E-file tax returns and monitor for acceptance/rejection
  • Support and manage client deadlines through our workflow management tool, XCM
  • Proactively manage database and workflow systems to ensure accurate maintenance of client data
  • Respond to client needs on behalf of tax team as needed to assist in time and workflow management
  • Set up new clients in multiple software systems
  • Participate in local, regional, and firmwide teams to serve our clients
  • Must maintain confidentiality

Internal Support:

  • Proactively support team leader in managing one of the following services: assurance and/or tax practices
  • Review and analyze documents, identify solutions and assist when needed to support additional team members
  • Support multiple service lines to ensure processing, facilitating, tracking, reporting, etc.
  • Must be adaptable, meet timelines / deadlines, flexible and team oriented
  • Must be organized, detail oriented; as well as other activities may be assigned
  • Must be comfortable working with computers/technology to complete assigned work and to assist CLA IT and office with office equipment troubleshooting

Education minimum requirements:

  • 3 or more years of related experience
  • Professional services industry experience, a plus
  • High school degree or high school equivalency. Associate or Bachelor's degree, a plus
