Plan and coordinate the elements required to execute an DoD mission, including aircraft performance, navigation and routing, sensor and mission systems. Work on target development, weather, airspace and diplomatic clearances, intelligence and threat mitigation, communication systems, maintenance status and aircraft files, and operational and aircrew products, such as post-mission debrief products. Adhere to published guidance, directives, and instructions relating to the planning and execution of operational, training, test, and exercise sorties. Assist with the development of a Mission Planning Cell (MPC), including CONOPS, training syllabi and products, and planning products. Attend MPC-specific training upon employment.
-3+ years of experience with one of the following areas: DoD aircrew, private, corporate, commercial, or law enforcement aircrew, commercial flight planning, or DoD flight or mission planning
-Ability to work rotating shifts 24/7/365
-Ability to deploy to Forward Operating locations for up to 90 days as time if required
-HS diploma or GED
-Experience as a rated instructor, evaluator, or comparable flight expertise, and a qualified U-2 or RQ-4 Mission Planner
-Experience with 500+ total flight hours rated aviation or comparable flight
-Experience with any of the following planning software: Air Force Mission Support System, Omniview, Joint Mission Planning System, Portable Flight Planning Software, Aviation Mission Planning System, XPlan, Special Operations Mission Planning Environment, or Naval Mission Planning System
-Experience with Air Operations Center or Distributed Common Ground System
-Experience with Web-based flight planning, including ForeFlight or SkyVector-Graduate of USAF Weapons School or comparably competitive program
