Position Summary:

The LPL Financial marketing department is seeking an AVP of Marketing with a high concentration in all facets of digital marketing as well as an understanding of an advisor and there practice. In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a digital marketing program for advisors joining LPL as part of the Marketing Solutions department. The position will also hire and manage new staff to support LPL advisors and their team as they join the program.


Essential Functions:

  • Report to the Vice President of Marketing Solutions
  • Project manage the launch of Marketing Solutions for new LPL advisors who are employees of LPL.
  • Manage the relationship with the digital marketing vendor, who LPL will contract with to execute the digital marketing plan.
  • Develop, launch and maintain websites for each advisor and their practice
  • Curate and implement digital marketing editorial calendars for each advisors blog, e-newsletter, email campaigns, digital ads, and social media platforms month over month to align with the advisor overarching goals
  • Implement lead generation, niche prospecting processes, and workflow for implementations to each advisor and their practice to drive business growth
  • Manage 20 advisors in the first year of the program
  • Manage Marketing Consultants who will manage the relationship with the advisors as the program grows
  • Establish and measure ROI and KPIs such as email CTR, social media engagement and website traffic.
  • Schedule and host regular weekly or bi-weekly discussions with the advisors.
  • Maintain the advisors brand (logo, design treatment, etc.)
  • Collaborate with compliance to ensure content, brand, and messaging are approved.
  • Work with LPL current tools to integrate into overarching plan.
  • Provide feedback and program enhancements from the advisors.

    Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communication, or related field.
  • 7-10 years experience in marketing
  • Solid understanding of financial services and how advisors run their practices
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to development and execute sales and marketing strategies.
  • Solid knowledge of CRM, inbound marketing tools, and web management.
  • Working knowledge of web design principles, best practices, and content management platforms.
  • Support LPL advisors via phone and email.
  • Basic understanding of events and webinars
  • Good understanding of digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics
  • Salesforce experience preferred but not required.
