Principal Data Warehouse Lead
  • The Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team is responsible for delivering data solutions that support all lines of business across the organization.
  • Provide data integration services for all batch data movement, manage and enhance the current data warehouse and dependent data marts, and provide support for analytics and business intelligence consumers.
  • Collaborate with peers and other stakeholders to expand and develop the EDW platform.
  • Design and implement Big Data, near real-time EDW solutions and Cloud solutions to support business teams to scale their applications.
  • Ensure new solutions meet defined technical, functional, and service level requirements and standards.
  • Manage and lead all phases in the Solution Design Lifecycle, including architecture review, design review, code development, data migration and deployment.
  • Engage with partners in SQA, release management and operations to ensure quality of code development, deployment and post-production support.
  • Lead all aspects of software or product vendor implementations as needed to deploy solutions that integrate with SVB systems and / or processes.
  • Contribute to the EDW roadmap enterprise data architecture and maintain quality metadata.
  • Contribute to the data warehouse practice through the implementation of new design and development policies and procedures.
  • Mentor junior ETL developers and/or IT partners/service providers on larger scale projects where you will act as technical lead for the organization.
  • Analyze design specifications, documentation, and requirements surrounding the EDW technology components to create high-level designs.
  • Ensure designs of new solutions leverage existing software components where feasible, and design and build software components in accordance with requirements, adhering to EDW & ETL standards and coding best practices.
  • Generate SQL, PL/SQL, Develop ETL to extract, transform and load source to target stores. Define and implement scheduling of jobs.
  • Tune for performance ETL packages and target data stores based on expected use.
  • Proactively identify and remediate coding defects.
  • Identify and mitigate potential issues and risk associated with development activities.
  • Establish and maintain software and document change management policies and procedures.


Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Engineering, followed by 11 years of professional experience in the job offered or related capacity(ies).
