The Business Development and Field Training Organization isresponsible for driving revenue growth nationally across all product areasexcluding banking. Reporting to the Regional Consulting Group Advisory Director,the Consulting Group Advisory Director (CGAD) is responsible for sales activityacross Advisory products in their given territory. These responsibilities are both strategic(e.g., identifying market opportunities, developing a plan and executing inpartnership with home office, regional management and local resources) andtactical (e.g., get things done, delivering results against specific targets)in nature. CGADs must strategicallydrive and coordinate sales activity in a manner that is consistent with MorganStanleys values and well-aligned with clients individual objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management of national initiatives and tacticalcampaigns leveraging Salesforce.
Ongoing coaching and development of financialadvisors.
Partner with Regional Management and Productteams to identify and pursue opportunities, and deliver against specificregional and product targets that meet clients needs.
Drive overall CG business in their coveragearea. This includes overall CG penetration and Advisory development with afocus on driving advisory business overall.
Create CG education meetings and events. Thiswill include offsite meetings partnered with third party managers. These meetings and events will focus oninvestment strategy, practice management, advisory development, and CGtraining.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor degree in Business, Economics, Financeor equivalent work experience
5+ years proficiency in financial markets and financial products
5+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, orcomparable commercially-oriented activities
Licenses and Registrations
Active Series 7 and 63, 65 (or 66) or ability toobtain within six months of hire
Deep understanding and familiarity with MorganStanleys branch network and Financial Advisors
Strong knowledge of CG products and platforms.CGAD will also be required to have a strong knowledge of investments and themarkets. This will include asset allocation and strategy, portfolioconstruction and manager search and selection.
Proven track record of driving results in asales/marketing role
Well-recognized leader, culture carrier, andexperienced manager, with a demonstrated track record of building, leading,motivating, and managing teams of highly motivated and highly functioningindividuals
Excellent presentation skills. RD will berequired to present at regional events, complex and branch meetings as well asclient events on the overall CG message, CG training, advisory development, aswell as investment management.
