Senior Data Researcher
The Role: The Data Researcher will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of process advancements related to collection and management of US Public Finance financial data used for analytical purposes. The position will require data querying, consolidation and analysis, thereby leveraging his/her database skills to enhance existing processes to modernize and extend the capabilities of applications and the team.
The Impact: This role has a direct impact on our stakeholders. It serves as the backbone of S&P Global Ratings process. The role has high visibility within senior management, analytical and operational groups.

- Ability to analyze and solve moderately complex problems in operational processes and implement strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality
- Ability to prioritize in high volume situations and escalate problems when necessary
- Ability to collaborate virtually with teammates in multiple office locations
- Interprets data and analyzes results using SQL, BI reports, Excel, and Other Tools
- Build up data, content, and process expertise across enterprise systems
- Bachelor's degree required with 2-3 years of data experience
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Intermediate MS Excel skills with VBA
- Experience with BI tools
- Financial data knowledge, with direct experience within US Public Finance preferred
- Familiarity with database architecture and ability to manipulate large data sets
- Strong influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
