We are looking for a dedicated, upbeat and team-oriented Treasury & Risk-Derivatives professional to work on derivatives trading activities within the Treasury Client Solutions Group of the Treasury Division.
The team: The Finance Department administers the Bank’s financial resources including debt and non-debt funds, managing cash resources, conducting accounting and preparing financial records of the operations. Among other functions, the Department also administers the relations with financial markets and intermediaries, formulates and reviews the implementation of the Bank’s asset/liability management. Key Responsibilities Trade (i) Interest rate/currency swaps and options, (ii) FX and Commodity options, and (iii) any other type of hedges. This includes analysis, pricing, recommendation and negotiation. Coordinate with relevant areas the conceptualization of hedges and other technical solutions/institutional policies and the origination of tailored-made debt management solutions to effectively manage market exposures. Participate in the technical and operational implementation of our Treasury Management System and other related systems projects. Participate in intra- and inter- departmental working groups, missions, and other initiatives aiming to structure and deliver financing and debt management solutions to Bank borrowers. Collaborate in the development of technical documentation on financial products/applicable financial terms to hedging instruments to be presented to stakeholder committees. Develop and maintain relationships with banks, swap counterparties, as well as sovereign and sovereign-guaranteed borrowers, including debt management offices of borrowing member countries. Provide mentorship, hedging training, and technical work guidance to more junior staff and collaborate in knowledge sharing activities with borrowers and own staff on our hedging instruments product offering and trading of derivatives. Monitor the market and looks for opportunities to effectively improve ourfinancial position and/or minimize risk. Conduct independent analysis of data and information to validate the appropriateness of models being applied and to confirm the reasonableness of data generated. Skills you’ll need: Education: You hold a Master’s degree (or the equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field, or CFA Experience: You have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant markets/trading experience with at least three (3) years in multi-currency Swaps and emerging markets Cross Currency Swaps trading, Capital Markets and Derivatives operations experience. We are interested in your experience working with emerging markets sovereigns and private sector clients.. Functional and technical expertise: You can demonstrate anunderstanding of cause and effect of market conditions and how they relate to ourassets, liabilities and derivatives. You have a strong knowledge of derivative markets and the swap markets. Ability to price and hedge non-plain vanilla swaps and Latin-American cross currency swaps. Language: You are fluent in English and are proficient in another of our official languages (Spanish, French and/or Portuguese). Systems: You are proficient with Bloomberg and treasury management systems such as Summit and are an advanced user of theMicrosoft Officesuite.You will build and maintain models using both Access databases and Excel spreadsheets.
