CLA is looking to hire an Operations Director to join our Southwest Florida Internal Operations team to support our Fort Myers and Naples offices. The Operations Director directs, coordinates, and supervises office services and related activities to achieve consistent and optimal utilization. The Operations Director will ensure each office operates efficiently by leveraging consistent people, processes, practices, and resources not as individual components, but as a CLA Family team member.

An Operations Director will demonstrate the following Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership Insight required:

  • Provides internal operations leadership across an office or group of offices within a region
  • Accountable for implementation and coordination of all internal operations processes
  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Assigns duties and provides training for administrative positions
  • Analyzes and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of internal operations staff
  • Supervise internal operations staff; resource allocation, time and performance management, career coaching, recruitment and development
  • Manage office workflow to regulate and maintain a balanced workload for the internal operations staff
  • Partners with service, industry, and EBS groups to implement firm-wide initiatives
  • Attend regularly scheduled firm-wide Operation Directors meetings via webcast or teleconference to standardize processes and share best practice
  • Coordinator and Service Processing Coordinator including: resource allocation, time management, performance management, career coaching, recruiting and development. S/he ensures internal operations staff are supporting the needs of office leadership, professional staff and para-professional staff
  • Other duties as assigned, etc.

Finance Knowledge and Skills required:

  • Assist MPOs in annual budgeting process for offices and provide oversight of operating expenses and time entry
  • Works directly with Finance Coordinator to ensure billing is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Responsibilities may include expense approval, reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable and WIP balances
  • Assist and assure adherence to firm wide policy and goals
  • Assist office with analysis of appropriate staffing needs related to budget and growth projections

Job Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of related experience, including supervisory responsibilities
  • Professional services industry experience, a plus
  • Bachelors degree in a related field or 5 plus years equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products is required
