This role will serve as a member of the Accounting Business Solutions group and work closely with the IT business aligned team and Accounting Managers to ensure the Accounting department systems and processes are sufficient to provide accurate and timely accounting information.

Accounting Systems Analyst II



Responsibilities:



* Provide support for Bank / Accounting IT projects as a liaison between the Accounting operational areas and IT staff. Projects may be either short-term or long-term in nature.



* Lead small projects or threads on large projects from beginning to end through collaboration or individually



* Contributes to the development of longer-term solutions to improve effectiveness of processes, reduce risk and promote efficiencies.



* Provide support to Accounting department personnel and other Bank departments personnel relative to accounting systems issues.



* Assist in streamlining, documentation and other automation efforts around Accounting End User Computing (EUC)



* Assist in development, testing and maintenance of Qlik Sense applications



* Work to ensure that solution, process or business knowledge is shared amongst other team members and documented well



* Review and evaluate accounting processes to ensure SOX 404 compliance, internal control adequacy and process improvement. The goal is to improve process efficiency while ensuring appropriate controls.









Qualifications:



* Bachelor's degree in accounting, MIS, or computer science



* 3-5 years' of business experience. Recent experience with accounting and general ledger information systems



* CPA designation with 2 plus years of public accounting experience preferred



* Strong partnering and team membership skills



* Strong communication skills including interpreting user needs, understanding management objectives, explaining issues to both business and technical resources, and coordinating the efforts of users and software vendors with IT resources to deliver results that support short and long term corporate goals



* Strong personal computer skills including use of spreadsheets, databases, and SQL query writing



* Working knowledge of change management
