About the Role:

Nuveen is seeking an Analyst for our Private Market Operations team to be based in our Chicago, IL location. This person will provide Investment Operations support for Nuveen's Private Equity, Private Debt, and Real Asset portfolios focusing on transaction processing, reconciliation, reporting & analytics, and involvement in technology projects. This person will report to the VP of the PMO team. This position will partner closely with end-to-end stakeholders including Investment Management, Finance/Accounting, Technology and Risk Management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Process Private Equity and Real Asset transactions, including commitments, capital calls, distributions and valuations
  • Process Private Placement transactions, including private and second market purchases and sales
  • Perform a complete and thorough scheduled security and trade reconciliation for supported asset classes
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc reporting and analytics for the various PMO portfolios
  • Partner with technology business partners and implement new and enhanced technology capabilities for key PMO stakeholders
  • Continuously explore and implement process improvements to deliver enhanced efficiency and effectiveness
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university(Economics, Finance, or Accounting preferred)
  • 1-3 years of Financial Service experience
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and conceptual skills
  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Preferred Skills:
  • Solid understanding of Asset Management concepts, including Investment Management, Operations and Accounting functions as well as the various investment ownership structures
  • Excellent communication ( written and oral), with senior leaders and peers, facilitation, interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment
  • Ability to perform tasks of high complexity and to modify processes, plans and designs as needed
