BKD’s National Healthcare Advisory Practice is searching for a Managing Revenue Cycle Consultant. In this position you will be supporting our management team on various projects within our Consulting practice. BKD’s healthcare group is the largest industry within our firm and generates approximately $120 million in client service net revenue.

As a Managing Consultant within our National Healthcare Advisory Practice, you will be working with the firm’s health care executive leadership team in building the firm’s revenue cycle performance improvement capabilities. In addition, you will be working with a highly collaborative team that is solely dedicated to the health care industry.  This position can be located in Chicago, IL, Kansas City, MO, Dallas, TX, Cincinnati, OH, or Springfield, MO.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage large revenue cycle performance improvement projects, including qualitative and quantitative tasks
  • Coach and mentor our staff/senior revenue cycle consultants
  • Execute quality client service and identify additional value-added services
  • Provide best in class experience for our clients
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through speaking forums, whitepapers, webinars, etc.
  • Advise, communicate and present to all levels including C-suite, revenue cycle management, steering committees, board of directors, etc.
  • Assist with new business development, growing our client relationships, qualifying leads and scoping opportunities

A Successful Trusted Advisor has:

  • Strong analytical and effective communication skills
  • Exposure to the health care industry
  • A strong aptitude in excel and/or business intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Availability to travel up to 50% to 75% depending on client commitments required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or health care related field
  • 5 years or more of hospital revenue cycle experience
  • Active participant in specific healthcare industry groups (e.g. Beckers, HIMMS, MGMA, HFMA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • CRCR Certification (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative)
