POSITION SUMMARY:

Nuveen is seeking an associate for the sales development and business solutions team within retail distribution. The sales development and business solutions team provides the Sales Organization with the ability to gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace through continuous learning to deliver the growth and vision for the future success of the firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the effectiveness of Nuveen's internal partners by leveraging the educational framework for campaign management, focus products support, new product launches and technology integration to help increase sales and asset retention across Nuveen's suite of products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Serves as the Project Manager for the Sales Development and Business Solutions team to ensure projects are successfully initiated, planned, designed, executed, monitored and controlled through closure
  • Maintains compliance training log and reporting infrastructure; expands current process for enhances business needs, assists in quarterly audits, and ensures compliance protocols are observed
  • Optimizes Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) utilization by aligning CPM coverage based on advisor needs and portfolio experience; leverages data to identify target advisors and geographical areas that need additional coverage to increase the customer experience and enhance the acquire, grow and maintain methodology
  • Coordinates feedback loops to be provided to sales leadership and Nuveen's affiliates to assist in measuring the effectiveness of CPM travel; aggregates CPM travel best practices and success stories
  • Assists in the design of asset class educational pieces, e.g, cheat sheets and webinars, that align with strategic product priorities; develop and maintain Nuveen specific asset class library for on-demand access; research and video editing will be required
  • Provides ongoing training, support and administration for technology platforms used within Distribution
  • Develops and leverages social media platforms to promote product knowledge and selling skills among the Distribution team
  • Works collaboratively and cross functionally with various departments to implement sales campaign priorities and tactical initiatives (e.g., product positioning, marketing support and advisor targeting)
  • Identifies and/or creates additional resources to educate the sales force on areas of future growth and development for the firm
  • Maintains educational records within the Nuveen Learning Management System
  • Works collaboratively with the event planning manager on national, divisional and due diligence meetings, as well as education symposiums and corporate events
  • Provides primary and secondary coverage of educational sessions offered by sales development and/or retail business services

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Series 7 License required within 180 days of employment
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; CRM and LMS experience a plus

  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to gain proficiency with unfamiliar technological systems
TRAVEL:
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
