As an experienced and long-term investor, Nuveen, a TIAA company, has been investing in Private Credit since the 1960s. Churchill Asset Management, an affiliate of Nuveen, is one of the leading middle market private credit firms in the world with $19bn in AUM as at 30 June 2019. Managing a suite of funds and mandates spanning both senior and junior capital across diverse sectors, investment styles and vehicle types, Churchill Asset Management provides access to senior secured first loans, unitranche loans, mezzanine debt, private equity funds and private equity co-investments. There are 55 dedicated professionals with a senior management team that averages over 25 years of middle market investing experience. 
The Internal Private Credit Asset Class Specialist position is responsible for supporting the distribution of the firms private credit investment capabilities including middle market direct lending, mezzanine and private equity co-invest portfolios across a range of investment vehicles. The Asset Class Specialist partners with the Sr. external Private Credit Specialists, Sales, Consultant Relations, Product, Marketing and Investments to best position Nuveens private credit capabilities with prospective and existing clients, primarily in the Institutional channel. The Asset Class Specialist is a subject matter expert, possessing deep familiarity of private credit, and of Nuveen and Churchills investment strategies in related asset classes with a focus on developing new business.

Primary Responsibilities
Assist in the growth and retention of Nuveens Private Credit assets Globally
Proactively partner with Sales teams to review client portfolios and identify prospective clients and opportunities
Support sales efforts with institutions that have dedicated private credit teams as well as specialist Credit-only investors such a Fund of Funds and Multi-Manager programs
Partner with Consultant Relations to support efforts with Alternative Investment consultants and experts at global consultants
Support Sales and Relationship Management teams with responses to specific questions about strategies and products, and general questions about capital markets and Alternatives
Understand and be able to conduct detailed discussions on private credit and on the full range of Nuveen private credit strategies and products in related asset classes
Distinguish Nuveens private credit products/solutions from those of other competitors
Serve as an expert point of contact for investment-related questions and coverage for prospective investors, clients, and salespeople
Provide feedback from investors and clients to internal partners to inform new products and solutions to meet client needs

Experience/Capabilities
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the investment management industry, selling and marketing private credit investment strategies to investors
Bachelors degree from an accredited, four-year university; MBA, CFA or CAIA is a plus
Knowledge of, and experience with private credit investment strategies
Strong sales and client service orientation
Ability to effectively communicate complex investment assets and strategies
Strong written and verbal presentation skills
Ability to work with individuals and teams across the organization
Ability to establish and build effective working relationships with both internal and external clients
Licensing: FINRA Series 7, 63 or 66 required
