Citi Retail Services (CRS) is a leader in the retail credit card industry.  CRS manages 43 million active customer accounts via long-standing partnerships with industry leaders including Sears, Macy*s, The Home Depot and BestBuy.  Via these relationships, CRS generates $45Bn in managed assets. With a pre-eminent global brand and distribution, CRS delivers industry-leading products, advanced services and payment systems that address clients' evolving needs.

The CRS Business Operations Department is searching for an individual with expertise in understanding complex pricing scenarios, data mapping and conversion experience, strong understanding of project management discipline, understanding of cardholder terms and conditions to set-up systems infrastructure, understanding of the regulatory and governance environment surrounding pricing requirements, and has an understanding of working with the partner business. This position is responsible for leading and directing a pricing team which will evaluate complex pricing scenarios and provide direction on the best way to create the pricing construct that provides scale for all partners across CRS. This person will work closely with the project delivery organization to determine which projects and systems may impact the pricing components on the systems and ensure requirements are provided and testing conducted for flawless execution. This position provides strategic insights and thought leadership to analyze the pricing data within the systems to ensure pricing components are functioning correctly, as well as identify potential gaps that could drive issues. This person will assist in ensuring that testing and quality assurance activities are built effectively and issues that are identified are addressed and structured to support the CRS business and its partners. This person will work closely with cross functional business teams to formulate and implement business recommendations and report out to management, auditors and regulators on pricing functionality. This position works closely with the Partner Management Leadership Teams, Partner Management, and cross functional leaders across Marketing, Risk, Finance, and Business Development as well as interacting with our Partners. This will person will manage a team of pricing subject experts and will report directly to the Head of Pricing and Statement Operations.

Key Responsibilities & Collaborative Points

  • Responsible for managing a team which will support pricing related projects, support contract terms for partners, support cardholder agreement infrastructure, provide insight on promotional constructs, review issues, determine pricing solutions and evaluate pricing strategy components within the systems
  • Responsible for participating in prioritized pricing projects and remediation efforts as agreed
  • Responsible for identifying areas of improvement within the pricing infrastructure to assist in identifying cost save opportunities or production efficiencies
  • Strong project management discipline and problem solving capabilities
  • Accountable for reviewing and evaluating pricing quality assurance testing and processes to ensure aligned with the appropriate governance controls; ensure issues are addressed as depicted by the service level agreements (SLA) and the controls are outlined within the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) processes
  • Support internal and external audits and walk-throughs as required
  • Ensure understanding and adherence to the regulatory requirements for the pricing team
  • Understand critical data processes and technology components within the pricing processes; identifying critical gaps and/or opportunities and devising a plan to address and implement
  • Support new partner onboarding; providing conversion and data mapping support
  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners
  • Develop and import/export key talent to support the statement team

Qualifications

Business and Technical Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working within Credit Card industry and/or IT function in a large, matrixed, multinational organization; Private Label Credit experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology or a quantitative discipline or relevant business experience
  • Understanding of credit card data and credit card systems; knowledge of FDR and IBS a plus
  • Experience in system analysis and writing business and functional specifications
  • Strong knowledge of consumer financial services regulatory environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Specific knowledge of private label/co-brand credit cards, commercial products (revolving and PROX); working knowledge of other consumer financial services products a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of collaboration across multiple, disparate internal business groups
  • Strong problem solving skills to proactively address business questions and the ability to understand trade-offs and impacts, as well as business process reengineering
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
  • History of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent at all levels
