Position Summary

This position is responsible for analytical support to a broad array of strategic initiatives within the Marketing Analytics and Infrastructure function; including marketing spend optimization, business development, pricing, cross-sell and third party relationship management.  This person will work with cross-functional teams across partner DM, marketing, operations and finance to support development of marketing optimization frameworks. In addition, this role will support business development initiatives through industry analysis, competitive wallet study and benchmarking, segmentation and forecasting as appropriate.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Marketing spend optimization:

  • Support development and deployment of frameworks and models towards increasing return on marketing investment
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, streamline or standardize processes towards reducing marketing resource demand from impacted functions
  • Improve analytical rigor and discipline in measurement and evaluation of marketing investments

Business Development Analytics:

  • Analytical support for business development and new partner onboarding

Strategic projects:

  • Analysis to understand customer behavior, segmentation, sources of attrition and growth, identification of risks and opportunities vs plan
  • Impact sizing and analysis to support changes in pricing strategies
  • Analytical support for various cross-sell initiatives
  • Day to day ownership of key analytics third party relationships


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of financial services experience in analytic role is required, preferably within credit cards
  • Master's degree in quantitative discipline is required (i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics)
  • Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures, financial modeling and analytic tools are required.
  • Proficient SAS/SQL programming skills and advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including strong PowerPoint skills to develop analytic presentations.
  • Strong analytic ability and problem solving skills to address business questions with data driven solutions.
  • Solid project management skills to focus on multiple priorities and drive impactful business solutions in a fast paced working environment.
  • Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams in order to drive optimal business solutions through collaboration.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills with the ability to summarize analytic findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organized, detail oriented, flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment.
