Access Control Role Engineer

Wellington Management offers comprehensive investment management capabilities that span nearly all segments of the global capital markets. Our investment solutions, tailored to the unique return and risk objectives of institutional clients in more than 50 countries, draw on a robust body of proprietary research and a collaborative culture that encourages independent thought and healthy debate. As a private partnership, we believe our ownership structure fosters a long-term view that aligns our perspectives with those of our clients.

Understanding who should have access to what, why, and how, is fundamental to Information Security. Building ways to securely manage all the potential accesses across multiple technologies, service providers, business lines, and geographies takes a role engineer.

This unique position will work as part of our Identity and Access Governance team to iteratively develop access roles based on role and entitlement definitions, access log auditing, and input from IT leads in the organizations.  These roles will then be implemented and tested in our various access control system and refined to meet business and security needs. Cross-functional role building efforts require direct interfacing between both business and IT leads to fundamentally understand role requirements.

Success in this position will take a technologist who is detail oriented, an excellent communicator and collaborator and someone who enthusiastic to work with a variety of commercial and internally developed access control technologies, access monitoring tools and workflow tools.  Much of the work will be new ground, so the ability to quickly grasp new approaches and technologies is a must.
