Benefits Analyst - Fidelity Health Marketplace

Fidelity Health Marketplace is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join its Benefits Consulting team.

The Expertise We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry related experience, preferably in a benefits consulting and/or insurance carrier underwriting capacity
  • Life, Disability and Health license. Industry designations (e.g., CEBS) are a plus

The Purpose of Your Role

The Benefits Analyst will assist Account Executives in preparing Fidelity Health Marketplace proposals to meet client objectives. In addition, you will assist in providing ongoing advisory services to clients on a collaborative basis with the Account Management team. Consulting activities may involve developing client strategy, managing the request for proposal process, interfacing directly with clients on regulatory, service and financial matters and developing and maintaining client and carrier relationships.

The Value You Deliver

As a Benefits Analyst, you will deliver value to our prospective and current clients in the following ways.
  • Understanding and analyzing the respective geographic markets and products in order to find the best solutions to meet the client's needs
  • Participating in internal and external strategy meetings for existing and prospective clients
  • Conducting analysis of client design, demographic, utilization and financial data
  • Managing client request for proposal process from creation of the bid specifications, preparing data, and reviewing, summarizing and preparing client deliverables
  • Negotiating with carriers throughout the request for proposal process
  • Reviewing client disclosure requirements, carrier contracts, summary plan descriptions and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations and regulatory, Fidelity Health Marketplace and carrier requirements
  • Tending to ad-hoc client requests including issue resolution regarding administrative and operational issues
  • Participating as a member of the consulting team in developing overall client strategic objectives
  • Conducting and interpreting benchmark data, draw meaningful conclusions and prepare client deliverables
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of client project work plans
  • Participating in client conference calls and in-person meetings as appropriate
  • Preparing quality and timely client deliverables
  • Working with senior members of the team to refine existing tools and methodologies and to develop new capabilities
