This is a Business Analyst role supporting Calypso OTC Derivatives application 

The person will work with users (Traders, Portfolio Managers, Back Office) to resolve daily problems related to trading of OTC derivatives instruments 

Additionally this individual will assist with business analysis on multiple derivatives related projects performing gap analysis between current workflows and existing systems, making recommendations for improvements where required

This is a hands-on analyst role requiring expertise in Derivatives and the ability to contribute to multiple projects at the same time


  • Be a hands-on subject matter expert in Derivatives front to back processing
  • Implement and sustain a "best in class" systems platform to enhance, maintain, and support the Wellington suite of Derivatives applications
  • Provide leadership in delivering software applications by collaborating with a broad range of business and IT teams to implement solutions to address complex business workflows
  • Interface with senior members of user community in an iterative manner to understand and design solutions. The ability to articulate and present systems capabilities in business-outcome terms to business teams is a core competency of this role.
  • Partner and coordinate efforts with business users, software developers, database architects, and external software and data vendors both on and off shore
  • Provide business specifications and work with the development team to translate them to technical specifications
  • Refine estimation, planning, development / integration, testing and deployment processes

  • At least 10+ years working as a Systems Analyst 
  • Solid understanding of Derivatives instruments and associated workflows 
  • 3+ years of experience working with and knowledge of Calypso or similar OTC derivatives system (Murex, Front Arena, Summit) 
  • Experience supporting the Front Office is a must 
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical production environment 
  • Prior experience working in either an investment bank, hedge fund, asset manager, or software vendor for one of the commercial derivatives systems 
  • Very good communication skills 
  • Good knowledge of SQL (ability to write queries to get data, this role is not responsible for any development) 
  • Bachelor's degree is required
