The Federal Reserve is developing a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow service. This service will help enable financial institutions provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds.  This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a new mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that will be transformative to the payments landscape in the United States. 

Position Contributions-

As a Principal Content Manager of the Content Management team for the FedNow program, you will create, maintain, and retire artifacts leveraged in the day to day operations of the program/service. You will guide the organization on how to communicate effectively through the use of tools and processes which create knowledge articles for support of the FedNow engineering toolset.  Your team is part of the Technical Operations (TechOps) department and has the overall responsibility for the design, management and execution of operations required to support the ongoing technical and delivery needs of the FedNow Program, as well as the transition to production support and operations. This team interfaces with internal stakeholders, customers for planning, delivery, and service management.  It owns ongoing ITIL processes, and the implementation and driving of continuous improvement initiatives.  You will work closely with Engineers and Architects of the FedNow program. The ideal candidate is someone who loves working as part of a team delivering cloud-base products and services.

What Will Be Expected Of You-

  • Provide technical functional expertise in the content creation and usage to the Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Quality teams
  • Offer technical support where needed
  • Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve
  • Update our processes and design new processes as needed
  • Content production and management of targeted content for the program
  • Develop a web content strategy that encompasses the goals of the program
  • Stay abreast of current best practices in the industry and enhance our content practices based on that knowledge

Expertise you will bring-

  • Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the programs goals
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a good command of the English language
  • Advanced written communication skills and an ability to read copy in English
  • Extremely computer literate especially with MS Office Suite of products
  • Experience with social media and engineering tools, processes, and best practices
  • Strong skills in creating original content that targets a specific audience and meets programs objective
  • Excellent time-management skills

Logistics and Requirements-

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent background or experience
  • 5+ years as a technical writer or program manager for engineering / service delivery organization
  • Candidate must possess demonstrated experience with job duties outlined in this description
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to prioritize and manage changing priorities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Independent critical thinking and decision-making abilities
