The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect works as a member of the EVM & Calvert Technology team, leading efforts to evaluate cloud offerings and refine our custom solutions architecture as we transition from on-premise deployments to fully cloud native approaches.
The Senior Cloud Solutions Architect is responsible for evaluating and providing guidance on cloud tool choice and implementation, and rationalizing our architectural standards to reflect them. This role requires an individual with significant and varied experience in software design and implementation; evaluation of third party technical offerings; performance testing; and systems design. Additionally, this role requires an understanding of trading and operational workflows as well as knowledge of different asset classes.
This role encompasses direct managerial, mentorship, hiring, and review responsibilities of technical staff. It also coordinates heavily with peer management, including core services, configuration management and security teams, to address governance, security, and implementation considerations. Consequently, it is critical for the architect to have solid communication, management and interpersonal skills.
