Charles River Development (CRD) continues to grow and is expanding its products in several new areas. The Director of Asset Owners Product Strategy is a senior-level role helping drive market definition, positioning and go-to market strategy in the asset owner segment of the industry. He/She will work globally across all of CRD's products and solution. This is a hands-on role that will interact with both internal and external market participants, including customers, partners and industry analysts. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong, senior level product team and help drive delivery and success of a suite of new products in the financial services industry.

This Asset Owners product strategy role will be focused on Global Pensions, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, and Outsourced CIO segments of the market.

The responsibilities for this role center on five key areas:
  • Defining the product vision
  • Supporting strategic sales
  • Working with current strategic clients
  • Providing market analysis and serving as an "Industry Voice" for CRD and State Street
  • Initiating and driving new business development and partnerships

The following activities will span across each of the key areas noted above:
  • Develop product launch strategy and execute on global product launches of new initiatives
  • Lead market research and identify customer's problems and needs in the broader market which CRD covers
  • Provide executive product marketing support for new product concepts ranging from market opportunity analysis to developing full-fledged business plans
  • Drive strategic industry analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Establish positioning and content for products and solutions
  • Lead global product pricing strategy
  • Work with finance to analyze product profitability and sales success of all offerings
  • Lead and be accountable for cross functional success of all new products and solutions
  • Conduct "Win/Loss" analysis with sales
  • Validate new market opportunities for CRD/State Street products and solutions
  • Partner to drive synergies and initiatives between CRD and State Street

Job Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or Economics. Masters in Business Administration preferred.
  • 10-15+ years of related experience
  • Strong candidates will have worked in the following market segments: Global Pensions, Insurance Companies, Sovereign Wealth Funds, or Outsourced CIOs.
  • Global executive product marketing or product strategy experience preferred.
  • Active contributor with high motivation, the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance.
  • Specific knowledge of the financial services industry (financial instruments, workflows, major players, macro economic influences, trends, etc...)
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, recommend, and position products and services to optimize revenue potential
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently
  • Excellent executive communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing available data
