A ROLE YOU WILL LOVE

The Product Manager is a key member of the Computershare Communication Services Solutions team. This position is responsible for establishing and managing a suite of products and services for the US region. This role will drive the development and implementation of key product initiatives that delight our clients and reinforce Computershares industry leadership position. This includes opportunity identification and prototyping through to technical and business implementation.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Manages product planning through day to day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including solution consultants, project managers, architects, developers, designers, sales, client service and subject matter representatives  
  • Responsible for building and maintaining product strategy and roadmaps for communication technologies. Lead alignment of capability tradeoffs with decision makers. Directs and leads the creation/maintenance of product backlog, business value definition.  
  • Stays abreast of technology trends and performs and presents market research. Utilize technology trends in product ideation and planning. Recommends and plans innovative capability approaches to meeting business and customer goals.  
  • Leads and facilitates negotiations and requirements with 3rd party vendors and integration partners on complex solutions.  
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • A strong track record of developing products and solutions that meet customers needs
  • The ability to make complex issues easy to understand and the ability to articulate the benefits of our solutions Demonstrated success building strong relationships with a range of different stakeholders with varying degrees of experience, capability, and seniority
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and provide strategic direction and leadership for large and complex projects
  • Evidence of creating and executing digital strategies
  • A strong technical understanding of business process automation and digitization solutions
  • Financial, presentation, and written capability to contribute to financial evaluation of product performance
  • Manage for high performance through goal setting and team management, providing leadership and mentoring
  • Obsession with creating great customer experiences
  • Understanding of complex interdependent systems, 3rd party vendors and solutions in product delivery

Preferred:

  • Seasoned influential skills sufficient to resolve distinct differences of opinion or approach; promote or negotiate on behalf of multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in: strategic thinking, system architecture, partnership building, organizational skills, and creativity
  • Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in new environments
  • High tolerance and ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of product management experience
  • Successful delivery of legacy and innovative technologies
  • Experience working across multiple disciplines to alignment on digital product expectations
  • Experience in Banking or related industries in a technology business
  • Manage products that focus on the customer communication experience

Managing various 3rd party vendors and integration partners that a product may depend on

Preferred:

  • Experience in managing product delivery and release in an agile environment
  • Experience with web services, APIs, or product integration
  • Ability to lead customer workshops and create user stories and customer journey maps
  • Familiarity with user authentication models and concepts
  • Experience managing a SaaS or Client-Web Server product architecture
Travel Responsibilities:

It is expected that this position may include travel up to 20% of the time.  This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.

Language Ability

Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers.

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
