Vice President, General Manager, Head of Personal Trust Services
Responsible for leading new business, administration, and investments for the Ameriprise Bank's Personal Trust Services (PTS) business. This position will lead the trust business line, including P&L responsibility, development of the value proposition and pricing, and compliance with fiduciary and regulatory requirements. Will partner with internal Service & Operations team on operational and service standards. Role will manage, supervise and direct all fiduciary activities and will monitor compliance with applicable laws, modifying policies and procedures accordingly. The role is accountable for training staff on laws and best practices and procedures concerning fiduciary obligations. Responsibilities
Develop strategic plans and business development strategies for Personal Trust Services (PTS). Responsible for developing the PTS value proposition and pricing, as well as determining core distribution opportunities in the advisor channel.
Responsible for end to end management of Personal Trust Service business, including product design, pricing, development, implementation (marketing and distribution), and on-going management of offerings (includes large and small project leadership and execution and day-to-day management of the business). Partner with Service & Operations to ensure strong operation and service standards.
Manage the P & L for Personal Trust Services, overall performance of product lines and daily operations.
Monitors changes to laws and regulations and modifies policies and procedures accordingly. Responsible for training staff on laws and best practices concerning fiduciary responsibility. Ensure a compliant, risk-based culture with strong controls and self-monitoring.
Provide effective leadership to direct reports incorporating performance management practices through individual performance plans, periodic reviews and feedback sessions, coaching and development. Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 15+ years financial services experience focused on personal trust
• 5+years leadership experience
• 5+ years successfully leading large and complex projects
• Demonstrated success in influencing senior leaders across a complex matrixed internal environment as well as with third parties
• Excellent strategic and analytical skills to solve complex problems and identify new product solutions
• Strong communication skills
