POSITION SUMMARY:

Three-year analyst position for Nuveens Private Infrastructure team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

  • Work with senior team members to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential investment opportunities and existing portfolio in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Work as part of a deal team to research and analyze (including modeling through the investment life) various infrastructure and energy related investments including macro and portfolio trends. These investments include direct equity, co-investments, private equity funds, subordinated debt and mezzanine investments in the power, social, transportation and digital infrastructure sub-sectors. Primary portfolio markets include North America, Europe, Australia and select Latin American countries.

  • Prepare internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment and portfolio recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents and external clients.

  • Work with internal business partners to ensure all legal compliance, and accounting requirements are being met.

This analyst position is for a three year period of time with no guarantee that continued employment with TIAA will be offered at the conclusion of the three years.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong problem solving skills with a solid knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Strong results orientation and ability to work in a performance-based environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Ability to work in a team environment 
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint 
  • Up to 2 years of financial industry experience 
  • May 2020 Bachelor's Degree candidate
