POSITION SUMMARY:

The IT Business Analyst role will provide hands on data analysis and process analysis support for the Customer Solutions Technology team in an agile environment.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 

  • A subject matter expert in business analysis for retirement and financial services platforms
  • Lead high-level requirements gathering and strategize with business users and senior technologists
  • Actively participate in software design/grooming sessions
  • Lead/partner quality assurance efforts - system, integration and user acceptance testing - to ensure that business requirements are achieved successfully
  • Provide guidance on requirements and user stories when required.
  • Can lead the team and help setup priority when Product Owner is absent.
Can lead scrum calls when the Scrum Master is absent

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 or more years of Business Analyst work experience
  • Strong data analysis and process analysis skills
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience in designing and documenting system and data flows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:

  • Elicit and document business, functional and system requirements
  • Experience defining structured data or mapping data between systems
  • Excellent communication skills -both written & verbal
  • Excellent partnership skills and ability to develop effective working relationships with various people in business, operations and IT development teams
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task effectively across several projects and assignments
  • Experience using requirements management tools such as JIRA, Agile Craft
  • Scrum management tools
  • Retirement industry experience
  • Experience as a developer would be helpful in this role
