Lead Auditor, Treasury and Capital Markets

The Lead Auditor, Treasury and Capital Markets will be responsible for leading the execution of assigned audit and advisory activities, primarily relating to the bank's Treasury and Capital Markets activities, including overseeing the assigned staff.  This role is responsible for demonstrating skills in identifying and assessing process risks, flowcharting business processes including the supporting IT applications, identifying, developing, and evaluating the design and operational effectiveness of controls and executing and documenting the associated audit tests.  During the audit process, the lead auditor will ensure completion of the audit work is in accordance with audit methodology, applicable standards, and defined plans, budgets, and schedules.


  • Lead execution (in-charge) of audits in accordance with Audit Services policies and procedures while ensuring adherence to the audit plan, budget and schedules.
  • Supervise assigned auditors on a project by project basis and performs review of work.
  • Manages plan, budget and schedule for assigned audits.
  • Identify root causes, articulate their relevance, and provide recommendations.
  • Train and mentors staff and senior auditors.  Provide feedback on audit work performed.
  • Establish relationships with business leaders while conducting individual audits.


  • 5-7 years of corporate or public accounting/audit experience (financial services/banking background preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.  Professional designation preferred (i.e., CPA, CIA, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills and prior experience managing budgets and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to understand risk and control concepts, develop related testing and identify gaps.
