Role Value Proposition: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Operations professional to expand his or her skillset in a dynamic corporate setting. This employee will be responsible for Brighthouse Financials' travel and expense program, mail services, and corporate sponsored events. The successful candidate will provide strategic, proactive consultation on (i) program administration and optimization, (ii) budget and expense management, and (iii) vendor relationship management for the company's corporate services and business entertainment initiatives to support the growth initiatives while driving cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee administration of Brighthouse Financials' online booking tool, travel management company , corporate credit card and express shipping programs including day-to-day inquiries, troubleshooting error messages and filing support tickets as needed, data analysis and reporting, and process vendor payments. Participate in quarterly reviews with suppliers
  • Manage corporate sponsored events and strategic industry relations activities from conception to launch including funding approval, communications, event planning, speaker management, and onsite support, as well as nonprofit due diligence and tracking, and documentation of corporate policies and procedures
  • Budget and expense tracking for $20M real estate portfolio, Office of the CEO expenditures, charitable contributions, industry relations, and employee engagement
  • Provide oversight and ensure accountability of mail services staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Experience in vendor contracting not required but considered a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Strong quantitative and computer skills, specifically advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables)
  • Results orientated team player. Emphasis on communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational abilities including planning, program development and task facilitation
  • Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making and reporting
  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints
  • Ability to work non-standard work hours when needed
  • Ability to lead and manage others in small to intermediate projects without supervision and complex projects with minimal supervision
