RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Work closely with the Corporate Treasury and Liquidity Operations team in order to develop a division-wide Liquidity data framework. Engage in relational and/or object oriented development, including developing software using big-data tools such as Spark, Hadoop, MongoDB or similar. Analyze and document existing complex Funding and Liquidity Execution systems and business flows, including analyzing the problem systems, data and metrics of existing and new applications and systems. Design, evaluate, and recommend tools and technologies that the team should be using to help to resolve issues. Develop project plans and work directly with technology users to define new application requirements. Produce high-quality documentation covering business analysis, system architecture, domain models and mathematical optimization models. Translate business and technical requirements into well-engineered business applications based on object-oriented design. Train and mentor analysts and other associates within the team locally and globally. Actively participate as a member of a global team on larger development projects and assume responsibilities of components of global projects, depending on need.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in the job offered or related software development position. Prior work experience must include three (3) years of experience with a Master's degree or five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree with: Java unit testing tools including Junit; Working across the entire SDLC of product development, including requirements gathering; functional and technical design; development; user acceptance testing; release procedures; change request analysis; and production support; and Working with relational Databases like Sybase, MySql, Oracle or similar. Prior work experience must include one (1) year of experience with: Implementing design patterns and coding using Object Oriented Programming; Utilizing Machine Learning and NLP techniques to solve critical business problems; Building scalable, reliable and fault tolerant software using distributed frameworks such as HDFS, Spark, Flink, or similar data processing pipelines; Applying data compression solutions on distributed platforms such as Parquet or similar; Performing long term trend analysis and analytics on top of terabytes of data; Performing realtime retrieval of critical data using Java in-memory and either Sybase or NOSQL (such as MongoDB or similar); Building data analytics models and algorithms to support liquidity and asset management businesses; Developing and debugging Hadoop MR and Spark software; and Performing data analysis using Zepplin notebook on the distributed cluster.
