The Private Wealth Management (PWM) business provides end to end Investment Management services and advice across a large range of asset classes for high net worth individuals. PWM leverages a global technology platform offering, an integrated suite of tools, and applications to onboard clients. Our software helps realize a client's goals and objectives, develops and implements an integrated wealth management plan and delivers first-class client service.
In Private Wealth Management, we help our clients pursue their wealth management goals through careful advice, astute investment management and access to the capabilities and network of Goldman Sachs. We work closely with high-net-worth individuals, families and select foundations and endowments to develop wealth and investment management strategies. We then identify investment opportunities to help them reach their objectives. We complement these services with robust execution capabilities and attentive client service. Where appropriate, we introduce our clients to the broader network and resources of Goldman Sachs.

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the set-up, configuration and maintenance of a new research distribution platform, coupled with the management of the scalability, performance, availability and health of the system by using relevant tools.
• Another key element to this position is to enable automation of processes, such as build, testing, deployment and distribution to increase productivity.
• Participate in an agile development process alongside the application development engineers
• Automation using Bash, Python or Perl.
• Perform after-hours production infrastructure upgrades and configuration updates.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders to design, implement, manage and support a highly available and secure infrastructure.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant field
• Strong communication and analytical/problem-solving skills
• Strong background in Internet and Web based technologies including Apache, Tomcat and JBoss.
• Prior experience with Java based application support
• Good knowledge of Perl, CGI and Bash shell script development
• Fundamental understanding of secure application and environment design and management concepts
• Strong knowledge and grasp of automation tools

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Splunk/Elastic search is beneficial
