RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLP in Jersey City, NJ. Multiple positions available. As a Vice President on the Firm's Application Monitoring team, develop and implement software that provide tools to a wide range of business users that enable the monitoring of the Firm's applications. Focus on software development projects that involve web services application, database configurations, data manipulation and front end user interfaces. Code in Java and the Firm's proprietary technology and utilize scripting languages such as JavaScript. Follow best Software Development Life Cycle practices, and design patterns. Independently interact with end users and provide consultancy services on application monitoring. Drive projects forward independently and coordinate with other geographically distributed teams. Provide mentoring, informal supervision and quantitative/technical guidance to junior team members. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: Software Engineering using best practices, including experience with the full software development lifecycle; server programming using Java and Javascript; WebServices development; Technical Writing, including documenting processes in a clear and concise manner; Linux; and communicating across geographically-dispersed teams to various internal stakeholders. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Application Monitoring; MySQL database administration and data manipulation; and MongoDB administration and data manipulation.
