RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Assess, design, develop and maintain risk controls and supporting analytics for infrastructure, tools and services similar to the firm's technology platform. Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, policies and controls by examining and analyzing data, records, reports, operating practices, processes and documentation and shaping recommendations to strengthen the internal control structure. Unwind complex systems and processes that cross engineering stacks to identify, assess and control risks by surfacing essential data and devising analytic controls and minimal supporting processes designed to measure and adjust performance to meet clear control objectives. Navigate a large and diverse global environment with distributed internal and external personnel and technology, limited travel and the challenges therein; specifically, significant and continuous exposure to follow-the-sun operations, varying cultures and communication styles, regional and local laws and regulations, conference calls and desktop sharing. Make significant risk and control contributions as an individual performer and as a team member working in a complex environment.
Job Requirements: Master's or Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Information Science/Management or Computer Science. Four (4) years of experience (with a Master's degree) or six (6) years of post-graduate experience (with a Bachelor's degree) in the job offered or a related role. Must have four (4) years of experience (with a Master's degree) or six (6) years of experience (with a Bachelor's degree) with: at least five (5) of the following engineering stacks: Critical infrastructure, Networking, Isolating Public and B2B Networks, Block storage, Virtual compute, Database management, Application messaging, IP telephony, Desktop chat/video, Centralized entitlement management, Data center operations, or Technology operations; the risk, security, controls and related regulatory or audit programs, frameworks and standards for the technology and financial services industries; and at least four (4) of the following areas: Engineering stacks, including experience within the field, Modern technology operations (e.g., public cloud, software-defined infrastructure, software containers), conventional data analytics (e.g., relational databases, SQL, dashboard technologies), modern data analytics (e.g., big data, schema-less and sparse data, distributed search, distributed computation, incorporation of statistics and stochastics), evolving threat landscapes (e.g., cyber risks, insider risks, dark web, state actors) and related defensive and offensive measures, Risk Management Frameworks and Practices, or Information Security Principles and Concepts.
