Job Description:

Enterprise Overview:
Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. As a technical expert, acts as a unit advisor providing technical support to less experienced associates. This role typically requires 3+ years experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.

LOB Description:
The Institutional Retirement Investment Services Senior Operations Specialist is critical to providing back-office service and support regarding the timely and accurate processing of equity, mutual fund, collective investment fund, and money market trades for Retirement plan clients. The role is key in managing daily business objectives including monitoring the various trading systems for trade rejects, late trades, large orders, communicating large trade estimates, and collaborating with internal partners on our Global Trading team and Equity block desk. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational specialists to resolve. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to: answering "hotline" phone calls, researching participant/fund inquiries, and processing manual trade requests.

Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services and/or retirement services
  • Knowledge of retirement products
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Time management skills
  • Moderate knowledge of investments and financial markets preferred

Desired Skills:
  • Series 7 (or ability to obtain within the first 6 months)
  • Organizational and well-developed analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
