Deloitteis aggressively acquiring, developing and scaling alternative business modelssuch as Intellectual Property-based ("IP-Based") businesses to complementthe traditional services offerings across the core functions of consulting,advisory, tax and audit. IP-based businesses offer client's technology,content, data or analytic solutions with recurring subscription revenuebusiness models. The combination of IP-based businesses with Deloitte'straditional service offerings are referred to as "Hybrids". The Hybrid Finance team is a relatively newteam that owns the centralized transactional activity of Order to Cash andRecord to Report processes across all alternative business models at Deloitte.
Work you'lldo
TheSenior Accountant in Hybrid Finance performs accounting and analysis functionsand coordinates the period-end and year-end closes, journal entries, and regularaccounting reconciliations. The SeniorAccountant is responsible for developing, preparing and delivering complete andaccurate financial statements for multiple Hybrid Business units. Good communication skills are required toanalyze and present monthly financial reports and metrics to seniorleadership. The Senior Accountantinteracts with the broader finance team to ensure timely and accuratetransactions to recognize revenue for Hybrid businesses, and will be involvedin documenting processes, procedures and implementing best practices across thegroup. The Senior Accountant also may beinvolved in new acquisitions to document accounting processes and integrate theacquisition into the Hybrid reporting packages for stakeholders andleadership.

Tasksand responsibilities include:
  • Preparesmonthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing andsummarizing financial and account information and distributes financial reportsto senior leadership
  • Performsperiod-end and year-end close processes, books journal entries and providesappropriate detail level review and analysis
  • Conductsregular process/procedure and controls reviews to ensure that financial resultsare complete and accurate
  • Analyzesfinancial information to recommend or develop procedures; provides strategicrecommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
  • Identifiesand resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Reconcilesvarious general ledger accounts including deferred revenues
  • Calculatesand records Capitalize Software in accordance with GAAP
  • Performsother job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required:
  • Experiencewith entire Microsoft Office Suite, including expert Excel Skills
  • Abilityand willingness to travel on a limited basis as needed
  • Strongwritten and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred; Minimum of 2-4years' experience handling month end close and financial reportingresponsibilities
Preferred:
  • CPAor CPA candidate a plus
  • Experiencewith SAP
  • Knowledgeof MS AO Reporting or Tableau
