My client, a Financial Services firm, located in New York, New York is looking for a Balance Sheet Management & Portfolio Analyst to be responsible for raising wholesale funding, optimal liquidity deployment and management of the structural interest rate risk of the bank. BSM is a front office function.

My client, a Financial Services firm, located in New York is looking for a Balance Sheet Management & Portfolio Analyst to be responsible for raising wholesale funding, optimal liquidity deployment and management of the structural interest rate risk of the bank. BSM is a front office function.

Description

  • Performing analysis on various liquidity metrics, funding planning and cashflow projections, as well as monitoring key trends in the composition of the bank's balance sheet
  • Working closely with the Chief Investment Office on regulatory matters such as liquid asset definition, RWA calculations, returns analysis, and stress testing
  • Working closely with ALM to understand the drivers of the structural interest rate risk of bank and its transfer to BSM within the transfer pricing policy and abiding by the limits
  • Performing monthly NII forecasts, evaluating possible changes in the underlying assumptions, understanding the drivers and explaining the variance to actuals
  • Summarizing and interpreting relevant regulatory developments and helping assess their impact on the business
  • Taking an active part in project work and broader team priorities
  • Continuously improving processes and creatively problem solving

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree required, CFA preferred
  • 1-4yrs of relevant experience in Banking
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and execute effectively
  • Self-starter with good commercial perspective
