RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Perform reporting and analysis on the Technology division's direct expense, compensation and headcount functions for the division's leadership and business unit heads. Manage the division's staffing tool, Projected Balance (PBAL), used for managing the projected compensation expense and headcount for the Technology division, in order to execute weekly reporting and analysis. Perform the generation of weekly, monthly and quarterly Profit & Loss (P&L) headcount, compensation and metrics reporting to Engineering senior leadership utilizing the Firm's PBAL staffing tool. Contribute to the production, review and analysis of the business planning committee presentations on headcount and expenses for the Technology division's leadership and the Firm's Management Committee. Contribute to the division's budget process and determine Headcount and Per Annum Total Compensation (PATC), including annualized base salary and year-end annualized bonus budgets, as well as Campus full time and summer hiring plans. Provide detailed analysis on headcount and compensation in preparation for the quarterly forecasting and the yearly budget process. Interact with numerous internal stakeholders within the Technology division and across the Firm including Human Capital Management, Corporate Accounting, Product Controllers and the Chief Administrative Office (CAO). Perform ad-hoc analyses for senior technology leadership, focused primarily on staff, including employees and consultants, PATC and Consultants and Temporary (C&T) employees P&L metrics.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Human Resources, Finance, or a related analytical field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related position. Prior work experience must include two (2) years with: Performing direct expenses, compensation, and headcount functions utilizing systems including Hyperion Essbase; Contributing to headcount planning activities by analyzing attrition modeling and strategic location expansion plans; Engaging in budget management planning, including annual budget and quarterly budget reforecasting; Generating and analyzing management reporting in order to assess financial impacts across expenses and drivers of variances; Streamlining and centralizing management reporting processes and increasing efficiency; Performing Excel-based financial modeling in order to forecast opportunities and prepare for risk mitigants; Utilizing Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel (including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups), and PowerPoint to summarize and analyze data; and Utilizing business processes and data structures associated with technology platforms including data flows to and/from downstream systems.
